Homemade Egg Noodles recipe

This is an easy recipe to make your own egg noodles. Perfect in place of dried pasta, you’ll really notice a difference in taste and texture from making your own noodles.

Ingredients:

125g plain flour
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
Pinch of salt

Method of Preparation:

  1. Beat the egg in a bowl.

  2. Add the salt and the milk and beat well again, ensuring the mixture is fully combined.

  3. Sift in the flour slowly and then mix to combine all the ingredients.

  4. Roll the dough out on a floured surface until very thin. The noodles should be a maximum of about 3mm thick.

  5. Cut into strips and spread out for them to dry. Dust them with flour. Let them dry for at least two hours, more if you have time.

  6. Once ready to cook, drop them into boiling salted water and cook for eight minutes or less if you like them slightly al dente.
